Post-Doctoral Fellowships
The mission of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterise is to be a premier source
for the creation and dissemination of knowledge focused on ecologically, economically and
socially sustainable development and enterprise. As part of this mission we regularly have
post-doctoral fellows in residence with the Erb Institute.
Erb Institute Fellowships
From September 1, 2009 through January 4, 2010, we will be accepting applications from qualified candidates who are at the beginning of their academic careers, having received the Ph.D. or comparable degree between June 1, 2008, and August 30, 2010. Fellows are appointed for two years as Post-Doctoral Scholars in the Erb Institute and are expected to be in residence during the academic years of the fellowship, to participate in the intellectual life of the Institute, and to devote time to their independent research. If desired, teaching may be included in the agreement. The annual stipend will be $65,000 based on an academic calendar year, September 1 - August 31. Fellows are eligible for University employee benefits programs including health and life insurance options.
Preference will be given to applications received by December 15, 2009.

The Erb Institute teamed up with the Center for Sustainable Systems to help the University of Michigan in being selected as the sole North American partner for this prestigious and visionary program.
