Mozergy Team wins National Business Plan Competition

 

 
Erb MBA/MS Students (Tony Gross, Mike Hartley, Jeff LeBrun and Ali Moazed) recently took home the $10,000 grand prize,and possible seed funding for their business, in the inaugural Knox Lawrence International (KLI) Africa Business Plan Competition. KLI, a private equity firm, invited student teams from leading MBA programs to submit business plans focused on microfinance solutions in sub-Saharan Africa.   Read More
 

Clean Tech Teams Launched within Early Stage Investment Funds

 
 
Erb students are founding members of Clean Tech Teams within the U-M’s Frankel Commercialization Fund (FCF) and the Wolverine Venture Fund (WVF). Both student-run funds are sponsored by the Zell-Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (ZLI) and provide opportunities for true action-based learning through venture capital investment decisions made by the students.  Read More
 

Generous Scholarship Gift from Peter and Carolyn Mertz

 
 
Peter Mertz (BS ‘74, MBA ‘81) and his wife Carolyn recently gave a $250,000 gift to the Erb Institute. The newly established endowment will provide tuition support to students enrolled in the third year of Erb’s dual-degree MBA/MS program. The gift also qualifies for the Graduate Student Support Challenge, which was recently launched by U-M President Mary Sue Coleman. Through the Challenge, the University will match 50% of the gift, adding another $125,000 to the Mertz endowment fund.  Read More
 

Conference Explores Climate Change and Personal Responsibility
