Having Fun

Erb students work hard, and they play hard, too. Students organize regular gatherings to stay connected to their classmates and to enjoy some much-needed fun. In addition to house parties and Ann Arbor night-life, there are some long-running traditions that anchor each year’s activities:

Broomball: Erb students have been active and dominant participants in the University’s intramural broomball season for years, and won the championship in 2004.

For a little bit of our rich broomball history click here.

Camping Trip: Students organize a camping trip each year after graduation, where they get out in the great spring weather, say goodbye to the graduating class, and enjoy some much-needed downtime between the end of the school year and the beginning of their summer internships or full-time jobs. Students take organization seriously, and stories from these trips are legendary.

Out on the Town : Each year also gives us the chance to find new ways to have fun. Examples include:
  • An Evening of Whirlyball: A unique Michigan experience (bumper-cars, lacrosse, and basketball together at last!)
  • Lazer-Tag for Pacifists: Don’t let the name fool you – they’re still guns!
  • Bowling & Karoke Night: Two great tastes that taste great together.
