Program Requirements

The MBA

The MBA degree requires that students complete 57 credit hours. Erb students can double-count 12 hours of Rackham/SNRE credit toward the MBA degree, thus reducing their MBA degree requirements from 57 to 45 credit hours. Specific course requirements include the “MBA Core Curriculum", which establishes a basic understanding of the functional responsibilities of an organization. In addition, all students must complete one of the approved Business Law or Ethics courses and fulfill the MBA communication requirement at some point in the MBA program. The MBA curriculum offers both six and 14-week courses.

The SNRE MS degree requires that students complete 42 credit hours. Erb students can double-count 10 hours of Business School credit toward the MS degree, thus reducing their MS degree requirements from 42 to 32 credit hours. Therefore, to graduate with the MS degree, Erb students must complete:

  • A minimum of 32 credit hours while registered in Rackham/SNRE
  • A minimum of 25 credit hours of SNRE-listed courses
  • Specific course requirements outlined by the concentration in which they are enrolled
