Masters Project/Thesis

All SNRE master's students are committed to a capstone/opus as part of their degree requirement. Whether the opus is a group project, practicum, or thesis, students demonstrate critical thinking about an environmental problem and the application of appropriate analytical problem-solving techniques. The Master's Project — the capstone experience for the majority of SNRE master's students — is an interdisciplinary group project in which students work closely with a client and faculty member to analyze and propose solutions to a real-world environmental problem. Opus clients range from government agencies to nonprofits to industry.
