Action Learning

Erb Institute students apply their interdisciplinary education in two real-world consulting projects. Through the SNRE Master's Project and the Ross Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP), students have added value to myriad corporations and nonprofit organizations. Examples include the development of sustainable business strategy, streamlining processes to reduce operational waste, and developing models to measure organizational effectiveness in the pursuit of sustainability. The opportunity to complete these projects, in collaboration with faculty and traditional students from both schools, enables Erb students to further hone their integrated problem-solving and communication skills, and is one of the salient features of the MBA/MS Program.

Many Erb Institute MBA/MS students utilize the action-learning projects and summer internships to pursue international opportunities. Throughout the years Erb students have conducted work in more than 35 countries on six different continents during their time in the program.
